Lavender Cocoa Shortbread

With only 4 ingredients this is a perfect recipe to make in a small vacation kitchen or if you just need a simple, delicious  dessert in a hurry!

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 25 minutes

 

1/4 cup butter, at room temperature

1/2 cup flour

3/4 teaspoon dried lavender, plus additional for garnishing

1 individual hot cocoa packet

 

Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly butter or line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Stir together butter and sugar in a medium bowl with a fork. Add flour and lavender and mix well. Finish mixing with your hands to form a dough. Shape into a smooth round disc about 3/4-inch thick, then place on baking sheet. Score surface about halfway through the dough with a knife to form 6 wedges. Sprinkle with a little lavender and press lightly into the surface. Bake for 25 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting into wedges. Store tightly wrapped or in an airtight container for up to 7 days. Recipe may be doubled.
