Steak Seasoned Sliders

The key to the steak flavor in this recipe is the Cindy Lynn’s Steak It Rub. Use it on ground beef, ground chicken or turkey or small baby bella mushrooms.

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 10 to 15 minutes

1 lb. ground beef, chicken or turkey

1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs

2 teaspoons Cindy Lynn’s Steak It Rub, divided

Small strips white Cheddar or Mozzarella cheese

Small toasted baguette slices, lettuce leaves and guacamole

Preheat oven  to 300°F and line a baking sheet with lightly oiled foil. Stir together ground beef, chicken or turkey with breadcrumbs and 1 1/2 teaspoons steak seasoning in a medium bowl. Mix well with your hands, then divide into golf ball size pieces. Shape into football shaped pieces or small flat patties (mixture will puff as it cooks). Place on baking sheet and sprinkle with remaining seasoning. Bake for 10 minutes if using beef, or 15 minutes if using poultry or until poultry reaches 160°F on a meat thermometer. Top with cheese strips to form football “laces” if desired. Serve on toasted baguette slices with lettuce and guacamole.
